Student travel offer is just the ticket for new academic year

With GCSE results coming out this week, we are relaunching our value-for-money student ticket that offers unlimited bus travel for around £2 per day.

Now easier than ever to apply for, the ticket is available to anyone studying at Blackpool and the Fylde College, Blackpool Sixth Form or St Mary’s Sixth Form. 

Costing just £63, the ticket is valid for 30 days across the Blackpool Transport network, and students can find out more about bus travel options when they enrol in further education on the Fylde coast, or by visiting a new, dedicated web page.

Hayley Gregory, the operator’s marketing manager, explained: “This week and next, our customer assistants will be making visits to Blackpool and the Fylde College and Blackpool Sixth Form to offer face-to-face travel and ticket advice to new students while handing out maps and timetables.

“To give them a taste of how easy and convenient our services are, we’re also offering them free bus travel to enrolment sessions on 20th, 21st and 25th August. All they have to do is show their GCSE results slip when boarding the bus.”

As part of the student ticket relaunch, the offer can now be accessed online and through Blackpool’s mobile app, with a new easy-to-follow systems for uploading a valid student ID for verification.
