Service 1 Now Serving North Station: Updates Effective 16th June

6 months ago Fri 7th Jun 2024

Starting Sunday 16 June, the full tram extension service will start to operate, giving a direct link between the train station and promenade hotels and attractions. Also on this date, some of our bus services will see some very slight changes. For example, our service 1 will run into North Station to support our commuting customers, and there are also some slight tweaks to keep some other services running seamlessly.

Service 1 - Now Serving North Station

From 16 June, Service 1 will extend its route to include North Station. The bus will use its current route until:

  • Turning onto Pleasant Street
  • via Dickson Road
  • onto Springfield Road
  • Into Blackpool North Train Station

Customers can board the bus at the train station for travel to Fleetwood and Cleveleys. The return journey from the train station will follow:

  • Springfield Road
  • Dickson Road
  • Talbot Road to North Pier
  • Resuming the current route towards Fleetwood

Service 1a - Route Unchanged

Service 1a will continue its current route along the Promenade and will not serve North Station.

Service 3a - Timetable Adjustment

Following feedback and using the data we collect, Service 3a will have a minor timetable change between Town and Cleveleys Park, with only a 2-minute adjustment. You will see very little, if any, change to your regular journeys.

Minor Bus Stop Changes in Blackpool Town Centre

Some important stopping changes to note, including a change to the school X2 and 12 services:

  • Service 18 will now use the bottom stop on Clifton Street.
  • Services X2 and 12 will use the stop outside the library on Queen Street.
