Blackpool Transport is hoping for a record haul of awards at a high-profile event later this year.
The organisation has been shortlisted for a total of four accolades at the National Transport Awards, an event that celebrates excellence across the industry.
As well as being among the front runners for both the bus and tram operator of the year titles, the popular Lytham Line Service 11 impressed judges in the Best Bus Service category. The successful Festive Family Saver ticket has also earned Blackpool Transport a place on the Campaign of the Year shortlist.
Lea Harrison, the operator’s Managing Director, commented: “To be in the running for so many awards is an achievement in itself, especially as we are competing against some of the biggest names in the transport industry.
“It is also welcome recognition for all the hard work of the Blackpool Transport team over the past 12 months.”
The NTAs are organised by Transport Times, and the winners are due to be announced during an event at the Westminster Park Plaza in London on October 1, and further details can be found here.
