Boost for Blackpool bus satisfaction

Our bus services have been ranked among the best in the country by customers, a recent study by an independent watchdog has found.
A report released this week by Transport Focus reveals that nine out of ten customers it surveyed expressed satisfaction with their journey, well above the 85 per cent average for all bus operators and just a few percentage points behind the very top operators.
The 2025 survey also found an impressive six per cent increase in customer satisfaction when compared to the previous year, representing a huge vote of confidence in Blackpool Transport and the changes it’s made to routes and timetables over the past 12 months.
Lea Harrison, Managing Director, explained: “Increases in frequency, the rebranding of services, and adjustments to some routes have all played their part in driving up our popularity with customers.
“We’ll continue striving to deliver the best possible service for residents and visitors to the Fylde coast, and these initial enhancements have provided firm foundations that we can continue to build upon.
“In the months ahead, customers can look forward to further improvements across all aspects of our operations, and their feedback will help us to shape future services.”
In 2025, the annual ‘Your Bus Survey’ by Transport Focus evaluated more than 50,000 journeys across England and Scotland, offering a detailed picture of satisfaction levels and the factors that shape them.
Among the 72 operators in England covered by the study, we ranked 14th, a huge achievement given the competition from some of the country's largest transport companies.
“This is down to the hard work and commitment of the entire Blackpool Transport team in delivering a local bus network that the area can be proud of” Lea added.
