Tour of Britain Bike Race Diversions

Due to the Tour of Britain Bike Race happening on Thursday 20th August there will be diversions in place on some of our routes from start of service until end of service.

Service 1:
Services towards Fleetwood will use normal route from St Annes to Starr Gate, then divert via Squires Gate Lane, Lytham Road, Station Road and the Promenade before then resuming normal route.
Services towards St Annes will use the normal route to South Pier and then divert via Station Road, Lytham Road and Squires Gate before resuming normal route at Starr Gate.

Service 18:
Services towards Poulton will use the normal route to Bond Street then divert via Station Road, Lytham Road and Highfield before resuming normal route.
Services towards Blackpool will use the normal route to Highfield Road then divert via Lytham Road and resume normal route from here.

Services 7, 10 and 11:
Due to the nature of the event there may be rolling closures in place between Lytham and Squires Gate throughout the afternoon. This may cause temporary disruption to services 7, 10 and 11.

Tour of Britain Bike Race - Thursday 20th August 2026 - From start of service until end of service

Due to the Tour of Britain Bike Race taking place. The following services will be on diversion all day.
Service 1 Northbound - Normal route from Clifton Drive, then right onto Squires Gate Lane, left onto Lytham Road, left onto Station Road, right onto the Prom to resume normal route.
Service 1 Southbound - Normal route along the prom, then turning left onto Station Road, right onto Lytham Road, right onto Squires Gate Lane, left onto Clifton Drive to resume normal route.

Service 18 Northbound - Normal route along Highfield Road, then right onto Lytham Road, service will resume normal route at Station Road/Royal Oak.
Service 18 Southbound - Normal route to Bond Street, then left onto Station Road, right onto Lytham Road, left onto Highfield Road to resume normal route.

Closure of Lord Street, Fleetwood

19th Jun 2026 onwards

Lord Street in Fleetwood is currently closed due to a dangerous building.

All trams are terminating at Fisherman's Walk. Stops at London Street, Victoria Street and Fleetwood Ferry cannot be served. A free shuttle bus linking Elm Street bus stop (next to Fisherman's Walk tram stop) to Fleetwood Market operates on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays running every 15 minutes between 10am and 3pm. At other times services 5 and 14 serve Fleetwood Market and Fleetwood Ferry. Resort Rider services 1 and 2 - after leaving Affinity are then serving the northbound stop at Albert Square, and using Victoria Street, back to Dock Street to continue normal routes.

Victoria Lines service 5 and Wyre Line 14 are using Station Road, Dock Street, Adelaide Street, to serve the northbound stop at Albert Square. Then when leaving Fleetwood Ferry are using Queens Terrance, Dock Street, Station Road and back to normal routes.
