Illuminations Diversions - Half Term

23rd - 31st Oct 2026

Due to increased visitor numbers expected during Lightpool and the half term holidays, bus services will operate on their Illuminations diversion routes from 6:30pm each evening, from Sunday 25 October to Thursday 29 October.

On Fridays and Saturdays (23, 24, 30 and 31 October), the usual Illumination diversions will continue to apply.

During these times, buses will also use their alternative stopping locations in Blackpool town centre.

Please check your bus stop before travelling and plan your journey in advance.

Bus Service Update

Due to a significant improvement in the weather we are able to resume normal service on the Bus Network. Our teams will continue to monitor the weather conditions throughout the day. With the weather due to worsen this afternoon we will reassess conditions early afternoon and provide an update.

Diversion

Due to badly parked cars around Leach Lane/ Blackpool Road North, we are diverting the service 10s using the diversion below -

Southbound - Serve Spring Gardens, when you get to the end of Bowness Avenue, turn left onto Blackpool Road North. Down to Kilnhouse Lane, take a right onto Kilhouse. When you reach the mini roundabout, take a left picking back up normal route.

Northbound - At the mini roundabout, take a right onto Kilnhouse Lane, left onto Blackpool Road North. Right onto Bowness Avenue, picking back up normal route.
