As part of the Making Blackpool Better project which aims to create better, more attractive places, leading to investment and jobs for local people, works will soon commence on Talbot Road to move utility pipes, along with works on Dickson Road to resurface the road and repave the footpath.
This means we’re unable to access some parts of the town centre from 13 November.
Buses will follow a diverted route in and around the town centre and as a result there will also be changes to where you catch your bus.
We’ve created a handy map so that you know where to catch your bus from and we’ve also listed the changes to where each service will stop.
The largest change is to Service 1 which will run on a North and a South section timetable between Fleetwood to Blackpool Town Centre and Blackpool Town Centre to Starr Gate. The north section of Service 1 will run the same as the current published timetable from 5 November.
The tramway will remain open and is unaffected during this phase of works.
Please take a look to make sure you know where to catch your bus when these works begin. If you need any help, just get in touch with a member of the team.
This is the first phase of these works which will be in place until March 2018. We’ll continue to update this page as the works progress as it’s likely that there will be further changes to where buses will be able to stop once works continue in the New Year.
Please bear with us and plan your journey in advance. We’re doing everything we can to minimise the disruption and ensure all buses can get as close to their normal stops as possible.
Get in touch with a member of the team for help with journey planning or if you need any other assistance.
