Tram Changes: 31st August 2024

2 months ago Thu 15th Aug 2024

We’re excited to share some important updates to our tram services, set to begin on Saturday 31st August. After carefully considering your feedback, we’ve adjusted our service to ensure that we’re using our resources in the best way possible, to allow us to provide a faster, more efficient service for our customers.

So, what will change?

From Saturday 31st August, our T1, T2, and T3 tram services will continue to run, but with a new schedule tailored to better suit your needs. The T2 and T3 services will now operate exclusively in the early morning, making it easier for commuters to travel to and from North Station.

After the morning rush, our T1 service will take over, running from Starr Gate to Fleetwood, via North Station every 15 minutes from 9:00am onwards. This change ensures that you have a reliable and regular service throughout the day.

From roughly 7:00pm, trams will no longer serve North Station directly.

Trams departing from Starr Gate will be heading either to Fleetwood or Little Bispham. If you’re planning to travel beyond Little Bispham, please check the destination blind on the front of the tram or speak with one of our friendly conductors to ensure you’re on the correct tram.

This adjustment means the frequency between Starr Gate and Little Bispham will be every 10 minutes, and every 30 minutes to Fleetwood making it easier and more convenient for those travelling around town.

These changes mean that we can use our resources where they are most needed during the busy Illuminations period.

During events, our trams may operate a split service, information on this can be seen here, or by keeping up to date with our service update page.

We hope that these changes will enhance your journey, making it smoother and more efficient. Thank you for your continued support and for helping us create a better tram service! As ever, we’re always working to improve our services and will continue to monitor feedback and suggestions over the coming months.
