Service 1 - Frequency Change

3 weeks ago Mon 25th Jul 2022

We are making the tough decision to reduce the frequency on Service 1 to every 60 minutes from Sunday 31 July.

We are making this change because we are still having difficulty recruiting enough drivers to operate our advertised services, and we know that from previous customer feedback it is better to run a reliable and stable service, rather than risk having last minute cancellations each day.

This change will impact the least amount of customers as possible because there is an almost direct replacement service by using the tram. By making this change, the rest of our bus network will remain unaffected and continue running to our advertised timetables.

Services in Fleetwood will otherwise remain as they are now, with trams running every 12 minutes, service 14 running every 15 minutes, and services 74 & 75 both running every hour. That means there are still 12 services every hour in and out of Fleetwood. If you normally catch service 1, please use our journey planner to plan an alternative journey. You can also use the Service 21 bus between Cleveleys & St Annes which is operated by Coastliner buses.

The times of the first and last buses won’t change, and we’re still running the early morning 07:51 from West Street so that school children won’t be affected in September.
