Remembrance Sunday Travel Information

On Sunday 10 November (Remembrance Sunday) there will be a number of diversions across the whole network. This means a number of services will be diverting in the below areas.

Thornton: between 10:15 – 11:30

Service 14: Will operate its normal route to Norcross Roundabout then divert via Amounderness Way, right on West Drive, left on Fleetwood Road and back to normal route.

This will be the route in both directions.

Fleetwood: between 09:45 – 12:00 

Service 1: Will divert from Copse Rd via Station Road and Dock Street to Freeport.

Service 14: Will divert from West View roundabout onto Dock St, operate along Dock St to North Euston Hotel, turn left on North albert St, left on Bold St to begin/end at Fleetwood Ferry. This is in both directions.

Tram services will terminate at Fisherman’s Walk during this period.

Staining: between 12:30 – 13:30

Service 19: Will operate normal route to Staining Rd End, then travel along Normoss Rd, Highcross Rd, right on Hardhorn Rd, right on Longhouse Lane, left returning back along Normoss Rd to Staining Rd End, where it will wait and start the return journey.

St Annes / Lytham – 10:30 – 12:30

On Sunday 10th November there is also a 10K Charity fun run taking place between Fairhaven and Fairlawn Rd in Lytham alongside Remembrance Sunday activities. Services 7, 11 and 17 will all divert during the times below:

Service 7: 09.30-13.30hrs normal route on Clifton Drive turn right on to Sandgate, left on to North Promenade, left on to Beach Rd, left on to Clifton Drive to terminate/start service from first bus stop on Clifton drive.

Service 11 southbound 1015 to 12:15hrs normal route to Clifton Drive, left on St Leonards Rd, right on St Davids Rd North, left on St Annes Rd East, normal route to Church Rd Lytham, then right on Seafield Ave, left on West Beach continue on to Lytham Hospital, returning northbound via: Warton St, left on Station Rd, right on East Beach, continue on, right on to Seafield Ave, left on Church Rd, normal route to St Annes Rd East, right on St Davids Rd North, left on St Leonards Rd, to Clifton Drive and normal route. (some delays may be experienced on West Beach at 11:00hrs due to race starting)

Service 17 southbound 1015 to 12:15hrs: normal route to St Davids Rd North, then via: straight on to St Davids Rd South, right on St Thomas’s Rd, left on Clifton Drive, normal route to Church Rd Lytham, then right on Seafield Rd, left on West Beach, continue on until left on Station Rd, normal route to Saltcotes,   returning northbound via:  Preston Rd, Warton St, left on Station Rd, right on East Beach, continue on, right on to Seafield Ave, left on Church Rd, normal route to Clifton Drive, right on St Thomas’s, left on St Davids Rd South returning to normal route on St Davids Rd North. (some delays may be experienced on West Beach at 11:00hrs due to race starting)

You will be able to catch any of your services at any bus stop along the diverted routes.

Blackpool Town Centre 

On Sunday 11 November the services below will be diverted due to the Remembrance Sunday Parade meaning we will have no access to Church St from the promenade.

Where you can catch your bus in the town centre between 10:00 and 13:00 -

Services 5, 6 and 7 Northbound - Albert Road (Temporary stop past McDonald’s) / Talbot Road (Wilko).

Service 11 to Lytham – Temporary stop on Cookson Street (opposite Mr Basrai's).

Service 17 to Lytham / Saltcotes – Temporary stop on Cookson Street (opposite Mr Basrai's).
