PCV & Trainee Bus Driver Recruitment Day

We’re hosting a recruitment day for PCV & trainee bus drivers to join our amazing team. Join us on Friday 27th & Saturday 28th of January at our Rigby Road Depot from 10 am until 3:30 pm.   

This is an exciting opportunity for you to come along, have a look around, and find out about being a bus driver here at Blackpool Transport. We’ll have some of our modern buses available for you to look at, as well as the chance to have a chat with members of our team. They'll be able to help you understand the role in more detail and find out what it's really like to work for an award-winning transport company.  

The best part? Anyone who attends is GUARANTEED a screening interview on the day. We’ll ask a bit about you and understand why you think you’d be the perfect bus driver. Our HR department will then be in contact with successful candidates to organise a formal interview.  

What do you need? 

• A full clean driving licence for at least 12 months.  

• Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic regulations. 

• Customer service and clear communication skills.  

• Basic maths and English skills are desirable. 

• Good geographical knowledge. 

Where to go?  

The event will take place at our Rigby Road depot on Rigby Road (FY1 5DD) between 10 am – 3:30 pm on Friday 27th & Saturday 28th of January, there will be signage to point you in the right direction for registration.

There will be very limited on-site parking, so it will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
