Changes to your Service 3 from 3rd January 2021

On Sunday 03 January, there will be a change to the route of our service 3 and we’ll be introducing longer Palladium buses onto the route. This change is for an initial trial period of four weeks and is happening so that we can carry more customers on these larger buses.
From this date, our service 3 will no longer operate around The Spinney area of Thornton Cleveleys, or travel into the Claremont area.

At the moment, we have social distancing measures on all our services and have signs in place to help our customers to travel as safely as possible. This reduces the number of seats available and sometimes, customers are unable to board as the bus has reached its safe capacity level.
To help to solve this we are introducing longer Palladium buses onto our service 3 route, to allow more space on board, to keep you moving safely.
This change is initially a four-week trial and we will take all of your feedback into consideration about this change.
Due to using our longer vehicles, we are going to make some changes to the service 3 route as some areas, cannot be served by a larger bus due to the layout of the area and its roads.
Our service 3 will not serve The Spinney area of Thornton Cleveleys or the Claremont area. Customers who usually board the service 3 from stops at The Spinney, Lockhurst Avenue or Canberra Close can catch their service 3 or a service 9, a short walk away at Epsom Road and Melbourne Avenue.
Customers in the Claremont Area will still be able to catch their service 4 bus from its regular stops as normal during the trial meaning there will be a service every 20 minutes linking the area with Cleveleys, Blackpool and Mereside Tesco. You can also catch your service 3 bus from stops along Dickson Road which are situated behind the Imperial Hotel and the Grand Hotel in both directions.
