Changes to Services 1 and 20 from 01 November
6 days ago
So that we make the best use of the buses we have available and the numbers of drivers we have to drive them, there will be some changes to our service 1 and service 20 from Sunday 01 November.
Service 1 generally carries a low number of customers in the morning and evenings, and from 1st November it will start later in the day and finish earlier in an evening.
There will still be plenty of services to make sure children can get to school on time and remember that our trams run alongside Service 1 for most of the route.
There will still be a 07:00 and 07:30 departure from Starr Gate for those commuting or travelling to school. The service will then run every 30 minutes from 09:00 until 18:15.
From Fleetwood, service 1 will start at 08:00 and then run every 30 minutes from until 18:15 Monday to Friday.
Saturday and Sunday timetables are unaffected.
Service 20 will see a change in frequency from every 60 minutes to every 90 minutes Monday to Sunday. Service 20 has been running every 60 minutes for the past few months to make sure there are enough seats for everybody to socially distance whilst travelling and we have now have enough data to see that a 90 minute frequency will still provide more than enough space for everybody using this service.
This change also means that our drivers have more time along the route which will make things much more punctual and reliable, which is one of our main priorities.
You will be able to see the updated service 20 timetable here which will be available from Monday 19 October
We will continue to monitor all of our services and are doing everything we can to keep you moving throughout what is still, a very difficult time.
If you do need any help planning alternative journeys or with any of these changes, please get in touch so we can help.
Coronavirus Guidance Update, Friday 16 October
The Government has announced that Blackpool and Lancashire will enter Tier 3 Restrictions from Saturday 17th October. This means that there are further restrictions in place, which you can read about HERE.
Our bus & tram services are unaffected by these restrictions and will continue to operate as normal with no planned changes to your timetables or services.
The latest government guidance means that you should:
- Aim to reduce the number of journeys you make
- Plan ahead and avoid busy times and routes on public transport
- Walk or cycle where possible
You should also follow the Government’s safer travel advice and make sure you do not travel at all if you:
- are experiencing any coronavirus symptoms
- are self-isolating as a result of coronavirus symptoms or sharing a household or support bubble with somebody with symptoms
- are clinically extremely vulnerable and cannot shield during your journey
- have been advised by the NHS test and trace service that you should self-isolate
