13th - 15th September
With Ward Thomas, Catherine McGrath and Sarah Darling headlining the three days of the British Country Music Festival (TBCMF) and Twinnie, Honey Ryder, Laura Oakes, Megan O’Neill, Worry Dolls and The Adelaides amongst the support acts, there is no doubt that this new indoor event in the festival calendar claims one of the strongest line-ups of 2019. As opposed to across the pond, it also clearly demonstrates that British female talent is taking centre stage and making its mark in the UK Country and Americana music scene. TBCMF takes place in Blackpool from 13th to the 15th September 2019 in the spectacular Winter Gardens entertainment complex, the producers are confident that there is no other country music festival that can boast a main stage in the UK as stunning as the Empress Ballroom.
With a clever mix of new and established talent from across the United Kingdom (and Norway), redressing the gender balance, other support artists include Gary Quinn, Blair Dunlop, Rob Heron & The Tea Pad Orchestra, Danny McMahon and Jake Morrell. The festival will include performances on five stages in and around the Winter Gardens complex and around 100 performers will participate in the event over the long weekend. Beth Rowley, The Luck, Jeannine Barry and Remember Monday, as well as local artists Emma Moore and Simon James, will attract their loyal following on the Making Waves Arena stages and The Pavilion will be dedicated to two-step dancing with a live band and DJ. The Gillows Bar hosts the Americana Music Association UK stage and The Horseshoe will provide a wide range of goods, souvenirs and food and drink options when you want to indulge in a spot of retail therapy.
