Updated 16.03.2018

We have been informed of an update to the planned reopening of Blackpool North Station. The station is now due to reopen to passengers on the 16th April 2018. For those travelling over the easter period check the Northern Rail website for more information.

Blackpool North Train Station is preparing to re-open to customers on Monday 26 March. This will see trains return to the station and journeys between Blackpool and Preston will start again.

Work on the electrification of these lines is however set to continue with the first electric trains expected to arrive in the resort by May this year.

A number of our services link Blackpool North Train Station with all of the attractions and amenities within the Fylde Coast alongside journeys to the town’s hospitals, schools and places of work.

Head here for more information about the trains from Blackpool North Station.

We at Blackpool Transport would like to say a big thank you to all who have travelled with us on our Rail Replacement services over the last few months. We hope our state-of-the-art buses have proved to be a suitable alternative whilst the station has been closed.
