Martin Dodd for UK Productions in association with Blackpool Grand Theatre presents a Brand-New Spectacular Pantomime for all the family, Beauty and The Beast.
The Grand is delighted to announce this year’s cast includes Danny Walters (EastEnders, Benidorm, World War and Call The Midwife) who will star as ‘The Prince (Beast)’, Hayley Kay as the beautiful ‘Fairy Bon Bon’ and Nick Wilton as ‘Polly La Plonk’ all starring alongside panto favourite the incredible Steve Royle (BBC Radio Lancashire) who will be making his 16th annual appearance starring as ‘Louis La Plonk’.
Belle is dreaming of a happier life but finds herself transported to a cursed castle. Held imprisoned by a hideous beast, placed under a spell by an evil enchantress.
Can Belle see beyond the beast and fall in love with her captor? Will the Beast’s selfishness cost him the world he once knew and the hand of the girl who has melted his heart? Featuring sumptuous costumes, magnificent scenery and the unmissable and magical transformation moment, it’s a pantomime not to be missed.

Joining this year’s cast is a name you may recognise, Ben Harlow who will play Hugo Pompidou, Harlow most recently played Kyle, UPS Courier in the UK Tour of the brand-new production Legally Blonde The Musical which appeared at Blackpool’s Grand in April this year.
Prior to this Harlow played Sam Carmichael in the smash-hit ABBA! musical, MAMMA MIA!, a role he also played in the Austrian premiere of the show in Vienna.
Harlow appeared in the original International Tour of Disney’s Beauty and The Beast, a role he reprised for 3 happy years on the UK Tour.
Amelia Adams-Pearce (playing the part of Belle) has starred in The Rat Pack – Live from Las Vegas, Kiss Me Kate with The Welsh National Opera, Jersey Boys, Hairspray, Spamalot and The Wind in the Willows and Fantastic Mr Fox at Regents Park Open Air Theatre in the West End
Adams-Pearce’s other credits include concerts as ‘solo vocalist’ at The Royal Albert Hall, Adela in Bernarda Alba (Union Theatre), Honey in Before the Night is Through (Landor Theatre), Rags (Lyric Theatre), Little Bo Peep in Nursery Crimes (Kings Head Theatre) and Rizzo in Grease at Milan Fashion Week.
Last, but not least Marcus Knibbs (playing the part of Clement) most recently played Thomas Lauridson in Middle Ground Theatre Company’s national tour of The Verdict with Clive Mantle and Jack Shepherd. Knibbs is celebrating 15 consecutive years with UK Productions playing Kings, Barons, and Squires.
The three new cast members will join Walters who first appeared in the BBC soap opera, EastEnders in May 2017, as regular character Keanu Taylor. Walters won ‘Best Newcomer’ at the National Television Awards. Before his soap debut, Walters was best known for playing stroppy teenager Tiger Dyke in hit ITV comedy Benidorm (2014-2017).
Nick Wilton will play this year’s Dame. Wilton has appeared at The Grand on more than one occasion in pantomime. Wilton is best known for playing Mr Lister in the BBC soap opera EastEnders as a recurring character.
Finally but not least the incredible dancing stars of Barbara Jackson Theatre Arts Centre will also return, with choreography by Katie Hill.
In 2018 Blackpool’s Grand will stage one of greatest love stories of them all, Beauty and The Beast.
Beauty and The Beast is presented by Martin Dodd for UK Productions whom have been presenting the Christmas pantomime at Blackpool’s Grand Theatre since 1996.
