Around The World In 80s Days – PREMIERE of one of the greatest adventure stories ever written with an exciting 80s twist…

Based on Jules Verne’s acclaimed novel Blackpool Grand Productions presents Around The World in 80s Days written and directed by Ian McFarlane.

Join Phileas Fogg, the most fabulous man on the London party scene. He seems to have it all until he’s cut off from his family’s fortune and attempts to regain his wealth with a bet to travel around the world in just eighty days! Of course, a sprinkling of music, fun and the power of love might prove money never made him happy…

Boats, Trains and Hot Air Balloons are needed in a thrilling musically packed and hilarious race against time. Outwitting dastardly villains, escaping perilous locales and finding himself in some rather precarious situations in this high-octane comedy entertainment– all mixed of course with some of the greatest anthems from the 1980s era!

Be prepared for lot’s of audience participation with songs including the B52s Loveshack, Kylie’s Locomotion and many more…it’s non-stop hit after hit!

The 80’s has been named by nations favourite decade, marginally ahead of the ’60s – big shoulder pads and even bigger hair collides with one of greatest adapted tales of all time, in this brand-new action and comedy packed show that will keep an audience of all ages captivated.

Around The World In 80s Days cast includes; Andrew Bentley (Hollyoaks, Emmerdale and the recent film Kindred Spirits) as Phileas Fogg, Oliver Mawdsley (Miss Nightingale, Astley’s Astounding Adventures) as Passepartout, Daniel Kane as Professor Gold (Spamalot), Justina Kehinde as the mysterious African-American archaeologist, who wins Fogg’s heart, plus Blackpool’s very own Christina Meehan (Fat Friends, Mama Mia and Little Shop of Horrors) and Laurie Denman (Fiddler On The Roof)
