Blackpool Transport Poppy Buses Unveiled
Blackpool Transport is pleased to support the launch of this years Poppy Appeal with 2 fully wrapped buses designed by the Royal British Legion.
The buses will be unveiled at 1500 at the Cenotaph on the Promenade at North Pier with staff from Blackpool Transport, Mediaco, Autolines and Betamark and the Royal British Legion launching these buses into service around the town as we remember our fallen and support our armed forces community.
The vehicles have been wrapped with the support of Mediaco, Autolines graphics and Metamark who have all kindly donated the materials, print and time to this project.
Bob Mason, Director of Delivery at Blackpool Transport said: ‘we are proud to work with our local partners and the local community fundraiser for the Royal British Legion in wrapping two of our vehicles for the Poppy Appeal. We have a number of ex service personnel working at Blackpool Transport and we really want to raise awareness of the Poppy Appeal and encourage our customers and team at Blackpool Transport to continue to support the appeal as it launches the national appeal in this centenary year of remembrance for WW1.’
Helen Mason, Community Fundraiser from the Royal British Legion said: “As we mark the Centenary of the First World War, it’s as important as ever to wear a poppy and remember the sacrifices and commitment made by our Armed Forces both then and now. The message behind this year’s Poppy Appeal is Live On – to the memory of the fallen and future of the living, which captures perfectly why it’s so important to donate to the appeal and wear a poppy. Every donation received will make a real difference to the lives of Service men and women, veterans and their loved ones.”Click here to go back
