Blackpool Transport Services have confirmed that they will once again support Armed Forces Day on Saturday 25th June 2016.
The transport company will give service personnel, their spouses and children, free travel on all Blackpool Transport Service buses and trams on Saturday 25th June 2016, in recognition of their service to Queen and Country.
Bob Mason, Service Delivery Director for Blackpool Transport Services comments; “We’re absolutely delighted to once again offer up free travel to service personnel on Armed Forces Day. This is a small way of showing our gratitude to just some of the many military personnel who have worked relentlessly to protect our country over many decades.”
Blackpool’s Armed Forces Week promises an exciting line up of events and entertainment to honour the nation’s military personnel. The annual celebration has been running in Blackpool since 2006 and has become a permanent fixture in the resort’s event calendar. Events take place from 20th-26th June 2016. Blackpool Transport Services will offer free travel on all their buses and trams on Saturday 26th June 2016. This offer is available to service personnel with valid ID such as a MOD 90 or a veteran’s badge. The offer extends to their spouses and children.Click here to go back
